What is microneedling? What is the treatment for?
Microneedling is a minimal invasive procedure. Small and fine needles are used to prick and induce controlled damage to the skin. The treatment can induce collagen production and help in reduction of scars and stretch marks.
Is the treatment painful? How long is the treatment?
A: Prior to the treatment, numb cream will be applied over a cleansed face for 45 minutes. The treatment itself is relatively comfortable and will take about 20 to 30 minutes.
Does the treatment have downtime?
Yes, it does have down time. The down time is about 3 to 4 days. During the down time period, you will experience skin redness and peeling, but it is absolutely normal.
How should I take care of my skin after the procedure?
Skin might be more sensitive temporarily after the treatment. You will be provided with a series of creams and moisturizers post procedure for you to take home and use. It is key to avoid any sun exposure, exercise and any heat related activities (e.g sauna, steam) during the down time period. Application of cosmetic is not advisable.
How often should I repeat the treatment?
Microneedling can be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks. We recommend a series of treatment to obtain good results.
